About Assistant Coach Jordan Patik:
Jordan was born in Casper, Wyoming. The son of a local A-class rider, the love for motocross surfaced early on in life and he began riding at age 7. He soon began racing. Originally, racing was just done locally around the state of Wyoming. He later got the opportunity to travel to races all over the western United States allowing him to witness and race against many elite amateur racers. Through these experiences he gained an appreciation for the value of physical conditioning. His fascination with the physiological responses to training led him to study exercise science. Jordan graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2007 with a BS in Kinesiology. Most of his exercise physiology coursework centered on athletes but also included exercise prescription for various populations. Additionally, he took multiple nutrition courses to gain an understanding of that very important aspect of an athleteís program. The culmination of his degree was the opportunity to intern for Seiji Ishii. He is a member of both the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Recently Jordan has found off-road racing enjoyable competing in multiple hare scrambles and even winning the first enduro he attempted. Outside of motorcycles, Jordan was an intermediate level BMX racer and has competed in multiple 5k running races as well as a half marathon. Additionally he spends a lot of time on bicycles and plans to compete in road and mountain bike races in the near future. He also enjoys snowboarding, water skiing, wakeboarding, and cross country skiing.
