Motocross Training Plans
Beginner, 6-10 hours, 1 MX day, 22 weeks:This training plan is for the beginner class motocross racer who has between 6 and 10 hours per week to dedicate to training. This program consists of 4 to 5 workouts per week with weekday sessions limited to one hour. There is one weekend motocross practice day per week. Rider should have access to heart rate monitor, cardiovascular mode of exercise (road cycling is ideal) and weight room. Training plan is 22 weeks in length.
Beginner, 8-12 hours, 2 MX days, 22 weeks:
This training plan is for the beginner class motocross racer who has between
8 and 12 hours per week to dedicate to training. This program consists of 4 to
6 workouts per week with most weekday non-motocross workouts limited to one hour.
There are two motocross practice days per week, ideally one night practice during
the week and one practice on the weekend. Rider should have access to heart rate
monitor, cardiovascular mode of exercise (road cycling is ideal) and weight room.

Rider should have access to heart rate monitor, cardiovascular mode of exercise (road cycling is ideal) and weight room. Training plan is 22 weeks in length.
