Shorty and the KTM350 Improve at A2!

Coach Seiji client and Red Bull/KTM Factory Racing pilot #29 Andrew Short notched a big improvement in results this weekend at the Anaheim 2 edition of the 2011 Monster Energy Supercross Series with a 6th place finish in one of the most stacked SX classes in recent history.

Andrew somewhat struggled during the timed practices with some uncharacteristic crashes but still emerged with the 9th fastest time in the class. Shorty started fresh in his heat race and carried a good start into a solid 5th place finish. This momentum would carry into the main event, where he again squirted his KTM SX-F 350 through the pack for another great start. Andrew would ride the first seven laps of the race in 7th and 8th places behind his team mate #800 Mike Alessi but would make a clean pass on lap 8 that would eventually carry him to a 6th place finish.

Andrew’s 6th place finish is not only his best place finish this season aboard the all new 2011 KTM SX-F350 but also marks the best SX class finish ever by a KTM.

Congrats to Andrew and his ever supportive staff at Red Bull/KTM Factory Racing and Coach Seiji wishes them the best on thier quest for more success!
