Hunter Hewitt Finds Success in Vegas!
Longtime Coach Seiji personal training client #65 Hunter Hewitt made the trek to Las Vegas this past weekend to take part in the Hart & Huntington Privateer Supercross Challenge and came out with an early season success! This event was an open class challnege for true privateers only and provided some high intensity action as money hungry privateers battled it out for every position and dollar.
Hunter botched the start in his qualifier but made a heroic charge to come from dead last to take the win. Hunter’s last to first effort included some aggressive passing and hard charging to overcome the power advantage of the 450′s as he was piloting a 250F. Each winner of the four heats were lined up for a dash for cash but Hunter once again started poorly and was unable to overcome this in the very short session.
Hunter turned his starts around for the 15 lap main event and emerged in 3rd place after a few turns. He was pushed off the track later in the moto but recovered from 10th place to eventually finish a strong 4th. Hunter was the first finishing 250F and one of the few to actually make the main event. Overall a successful weekend for Hunter Hewitt and his small crew of one, his tusty mechanic Jamie Ellis. Congrats to both!
