Andrew Short and the KTM 350 March On!
Coach Seiji client and Red Bull/KTM Factory Racing rider #29 Andrew Short marched onward through the 2011 Monster Energy SX Series this past weekend with a first ever visit to historic Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Andrew continues to work hard to move both him and his brand new for 2011 KTM SX-F 350 towards the front of the most stacked SX class field in recent memory.
Andrew went through the paces in qualifying practice posting a combined result of 11th fastest in the always improving field. Track conditions were challenging and ever changing throughout the day but Andrew and his KTM got off to a great start in his heat race by easily qualifying in 7th position.
The SX class main event proved memorable as the front end of the field was busy throughout the event with aggressive battles and frequent lead changes. Just behind this front group, Andrew pushed hard to put every available horsepower to the slippery ground and his efforts proved worthy as he finished in a strong 9th place.
Andrew vows to continue with his unwavering work ethic with the Red Bull/KTM Factory Racing staff and Coach Seiji to improve upon his race results and his current 7th place overall position in the SX series.
